The group chat is nothing new in Skype, but so far all the participants had to have the Skype application. Microsoft just announced that from today is no longer necessary, as they have introduced a small change that makes a big difference.
Now when a user starts a chat, you can invite anyone to participate in it just share a single bond, provided by Skype, which can be sent via email, Facebook, Messenger, Twitter or any other method.
What also makes the difference, plus the new single link, is that anyone who receives the link can join the chat as a guest from your computer using Skype Web and do not need to have an account with Skype, just enter your name and automatically enter chat to which they were invited. This also works in conversations between two people, group IM and voice and audio.
So from now on, Skype users can talk to their contacts and also with others who are not in your Skype contact list.
This feature is launched today in the United States, the United Kingdom and in the coming weeks will be launched in other regions of the planet.
Microsoft indicates that users can share and join a conversation from Skype for Windows, Skype for Mac and Skype Web. Users with Skype account can join a conversation from Skype for iPhone, iPad and Android. Finally they comment that soon may begin talks of this type (sharing the link) from mobile devices.
